World of Warcraft: Folk & Fairy Tales of Azeroth is out today! This is the biggest, most beautiful tome I’ve ever contributed to. Many thanks to my editor Allison Irons and the Blizzard Entertainment team for their fantastic collaboration on my story, “For Lies and Liberty”—and to artist Zoltan Boros for his stunning illustrations! This is a really fantastic book for WoW fans, for your coffee table or bookshelf, and it’s amazing to be in the same collection as L.L. McKinney, Garth Nix, Alyssa Wong, Kami Garcia, Catherynne M. Valente, Madeleine Roux, Molly Knox Ostertag, Christie Golden, Tamsyn Muir, Allison Irons, and Steve Danuser.
I have a few other unannounced short stories slated for publication in the coming year, including two Season 2 podcast episodes of Orphan Black: The Next Chapter (starring Tatiana Maslany, Jordan Gavaris, and Evelyne Brochu!), as well as a soon-to-be-announced third RWBY novel…and perhaps a surprise or two. Writing during the pandemic has been a challenge, but I’m grateful for the excellent opportunities that have come my way and excited for people to see what I’ve been working on.
